Walking in a Winter Wonderland

One of these evenings when the snow is lightly falling, Put on your coats, hats,
gloves and boots.
Take an evening stroll together and hold hands.  You will be amazed at how different everything looks and sounds in the snow.  Bring an umbrella, only one,  sharing is more romantic.  Take your time, enjoy each other.  When you get back home make up some hot coco with marshmallows  and snuggle together under a big warm blanket.

So it's getting to be that time of year again.  Yes, the snow is coming.  As yucky and cold as snow is sometimes, it can be very romantic too.   gather some white paper, scissors, string and tape.  put everything on your bed.  Sit together and fold and cut paper snowflakes.  Try to make the most interesting flakes you can.  unfold each one in front of each other.   Laugh and wonder together at all your creativity.  when you have enough cut, hang them from the ceiling above your bed with the tape and string.  The more snowflakes the more magical.  lay back and enjoy them together.

Our tree

So If you read the post below,  You know that I have wanted to do some wood initial carving with my hubby for sometime.  Well, on our annual summer camp out this year, we had Grandma watch the kids and we were able to sneak away for a little while.  We took off on a ATV and found our special grove and tree and made it ours.   We had such a great time.

carve your love

Do you have an outdoor place that you go often?  My husband and I go to the same camp spot every summer.  I've always wanted to do this and haven't yet.  I'll put it on my list of dates to do this summer. 
Anyway..
Find a tree in nature or a tree in your own yard (better because you'll see it whenever you want) climb the tree a little ways (it's better for the tree ) Carve your initials in a heart.  Come back as often as you like to see it.  Sit under "Your" tree and do what ever you would like, picnic, make out, nothing, etc If you don't want to cut into a tree, you could carve into anything wooden, table, log, box.  Leave it outside or bring it in.  There are all kinds of ideas, be creative and enjoy each other!

fashion show

This one can get totally crazy and it might be nice to make sure your the only ones in the house or the kids are fast asleep. 
Put some crazy funny fashion show music on and show off some "fashions"
Your sweety will stay in the room and you  get to be the first to go be creative and come up with some fun, sexy, crazy out fit to show.
It's easier if you give your self limits.  Say you can only use things in your bedroom or you can only use the kids dress up box.  
After you show off your fashion,  it's your turn to sit and wait while your lover goes out and finds something to wear.  Do it over and over, you will go from one fashion to the other don't change back into normal clothes in between.  Some fun ideas..... bunny- undies & cotton tail, tarzan- loin cloth,  beach bum-naked chest open shirt, The night can get crazy and lead to other fun things as well.

bowling with a twist

Plan a bowling night.  On the way to the alley, stop and pick up a bag of colorful candy.  Some M&M's, Skittles, Something you both enjoy.  Decide before you start bowling what each color of candy will represent.  Red- bowl with your right hand.  Green-bowl with your left hand.  hop on one leg, backwards, closing eyes etc.  Before each turn you must pull a candy out to discover how you are to bowl that round.  You also have to make one color a KISS color.   When you pull that one out you have to kiss.  Be creative, have fun.

Ride

If you have read this blog any you know how frugal I am.  I'm not really a money spender, but, sometimes you have to splerge,  it's just so fun.  Here is a fun idea that you would have to fork out a little money on.
Rent a ride (or borrow and trade).  Some ideas... A motorcycle, a snowmobile, an ATV, a horse or two.  Go out for a ride somewhere together.  You can ride separately if you wish but I personally find it very romantic and LOVE to hang on to the back of my man and let him have the control :)  

Most men will LOVE this date because it involves an engine, a road, and testosterone!  I know my man does.

Thrift store fun

Thrift stores can be lots of fun. I can come up with all kinds of fun things to do at a thrift store.  Here are a few fun ones for dating.
Go to a local thrift store and pick out some fun treasures.  Give your selves a budget and don't go over.  You could by funny gifts for each other.    Have a contest of who can find the most interesting thing and then ask a passerby to judge who's is best.  If your really feeling crazy, pick out a fun outfit for each other then sport your finds out to dinner together.   Be crazy fun!

Nature dinner

Pick a unique spot in nature, A place you will be all alone.  A large field, a beach, the woods etc.
bring all the fancy fixings for a nice dinner.  bring a table, chairs, table cloths, candles, plates, fancy glasses,  sparkling cider.  The fancier the funner.  Set it all up together (or if you know it wont be messed with) set it up before hand.  Dinner can be as easy as you want, pizza, burgers, Chinese. or  make dinner as intense as you want.  It's fun to have a simple dinner on fancy stuff.  Make sure you have some bubbly to drink and maybe some dessert for later.   Enjoy your fancy dinner alfresco!

carmel, chocolate or strawberry?

This is a fun game that involves a blindfold and some willing players :)
fill three small bowls with carmel sauce, chocolate sauce and strawberry sauce.
Blindfold your hubby.  Choose one of the three sauces and put a little "taste" of it somewhere on your body.  We will say, your ear lobe, your lips, your wrist, your neck etc.  His job is to taste the sauce (Help him find it).  He gets a point if he guesses the right sauce and an extra two points if he guesses the right place you put it on your body.  Now it's your turn to get blindfoled. go back and forth till you run out of creativity.  Keep score in a fun way and come up with a fun prize for the winner ( the one with the most points ).  I'll let you come up with your own ideas for the prize:)

photo booth

Photo booths at the mall or arcade are so expensive.  So.....Set up your own photo booth complete with camera and tripod.  You just have to master the art or taking pictures from across the way.   Sit together and pose, kiss, laugh, give bunny ears etc.  Make it extra fun by adding some props, mustaches, hats, wigs, fans, guns, chalkboards or paper with words ANYTHING!  let your imagination run wild.  have the photo's printed out and hang them on your fridge for a while to enjoy.
